Clarence “Doc” Kuntz is a tireless advocate for the Tred Avon River and the greater Choptank watershed. In 2009 Doc identified several areas of the Tred Avon that were in desperate need of trash removal and helped to organize the River Appreciation Day Paddle, or RAD PAD. Dedicated citizens kayaked from Easton Point and removed an entire trailer full of trash, including hundreds of cans and plastic bottles, from the river. Because of his dedication, he was recruited by the Choptank River Eastern Bay Conservancy and now coordinates their volunteer trash removal program. Doc’s energy and enthusiasm for getting the job done keeps the Choptank Trib Team moving forward and advocating on behalf of our river. |
